Classification reasoning
Gathering of information is usually based on how much a person. Information at hand can seem similar to previous information due to the way in which it is presented.
Example
Setup a static website: When setting up a static website, there is no need for a database connection. However, in cases involving inexperienced developers, they would setup a website with a database connection simply because the requirement sounded similar to previous work.
Impact
Due to similarity of information, architects tends to take the same decisions as they did in the past when presented with similar information. This may or may not be the right solution.
Debiasing techniques
Everyone banks on previous experience when taking decisions. However, treating every scenario as a different use case would lead to exploring of new possibilities.
